Hat Trick Software Limited is a privately held company incorporated in England and Wales in 2004. Over 75% of the Company remains in the hands of the founders and staff with the balance being held by external investors.

Hattrick specialises in distributed computing with a specific focus on ensuring the continuous alignment of executing business transactions with the required corporate policy.

Obtaining visibility of the service interactions underpinning complex business transactions is required if comprehensive management of these transactions is to be secured. Such control can only be assured if there is an understanding of the expected service interactions. This is achieved by continuously comparing the actual interactions against a description of the overall and required process.

This methodology of continuous “monitor and compare” is described as “Process Governance” - a methodology that ensures every transaction instance executes with precise conformance with the required policy, at the lowest possible price point. Process Governance enables even the most complex processes to be managed solely on an exceptions basis, and when exceptions do arise, these are immediately identified and addressed with pinpoint accuracy.

To deliver Process Governance the Company has developed HELIXsystem, a product suite that delivers process discovery, governance and version control. The HELIXsystem development team is comprised of leading specialists in distributed computing with a specific focus on the behavioural monitoring of complex processes capable of generating extremely large and often unpredictable numbers of service interactions.

Hattrick is a foundation partner on the Redhat/JBoss Overlord project a project designed to deliver governance to the JBoss SOA Platform.
